In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
